Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt to start protests outside Lahore Press Culb

The 3rd greatest pillar of the State is Media, how its actually working in the country? We should learn with an example of Nawaiwaqt Group which was formed before the birth of Pakistan and even have the greatest role in the independence movement with QUAID-E-AZAM.  Rameeza who was adopted by late Majid Nizami, has fired, terminated and forcefully retired without paying dues hundreds of  innocent workers who were leading this newspaper the best in the country, and on the other hand the organization fabricated on the fake basis of financial crunch and other so called remedies.

This media house in its Balance Sheet filed before SECP depicted an amount of Rs. 970,000,000 (Nine hundred seventy million) reserved for the payment of outstanding dues of the Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt  and other employees for the period 2000 to 2018. The Institution by showing the above-mentioned amount in its balance sheet saved huge amount of taxes. But till date the Institution had not paid any amount to the Applicants which it shown as reserved amount for the payments of employees.

The Effected Employees of the media house which is known as Nawaiwaqt Group, are filing the recovery of outstanding dues, regarding which the Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt have already filed their cases/claims before the Implementation Tribunal of Newspaper Employees (ITNE) for the implementation of 7th and 8th Wage Board Award. The Applicants have also filed their claims before Nidai Millat (Pvt) Limited (the “Institution”).
Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt have served the above said Institution with great loyalty and hard work and they have given their golden years of life to the Institution but the Institution instead of giving reward to the services of the Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt, deprived the Applicants from their employment benefits (Gratuity, Salary arrears, Leave encashment and others) which they were entitled as per the 7th and 8th Wage Board Award. Since the compulsory retirement of the Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt, they have been suffering a lot.
 Former Employees have been in serious financial crisis and their financial position is getting worse day by day.   
  Due to this unethical behaviour of the management of the Institution, the Mutasireene Nawaiwaqt  have started a series of protest for the recovery of their outstanding dues as per their claims but the management is not showing any positive gesture towards the legal rights of the Applicants. The Applicants have now planned a protest on 23 May 2022, the venue of the protest will be from Press Club Lahore, Nawai Waqt Office Queens Road Lahore, House of MD of the Institution. The Protesters will continue their protest at different places all across the Pakistan till the recovery of their outstanding dues alongwith interest for the period of atleast 3 years as well as the legal fees. 

 نوائے وقت متاثرین ایکشن کمیٹی کے زیر اہتمام 23 مئی  بروز پیر شام ساڑھے 5 بجے لاہور پریس کلب میں  نوائےوقت انتظامیہ کے خلاف ایک احتجاجی کیمپ لگایاجا رہا ہے۔جس میں کارکن صحافی  نوائے وقت انتظامیہ سے عرصہ 4 سال سےواجب الادا اپنے کروڑوں روپے واجبات کی ادائیگی کا مطالبہ کریں گے۔ کیمپ میں تمام صحافتی برادری اور کارکن صحافیوں کے  حقوق کے لئے کام کرنے والی صحافتی تنظیموں کے قائدین کو دعوت دی جاتی ہے کہ وہ کیمپ میں شامل ہو کر مظلوم کارکنوں سے اظہار یکجہتی کریں ان کا حوصلہ بڑھائیں اور نوائے وقت کی لے پالک رمیزہ کے ضمیر کو جھنجوڑ یں کہ وہ مظلوم کارکنوں کو ان کے واجبات ادا کرے۔  کیمپ کے بعد کلب کے باہر مختصر احتجاجی مظاہرہ بھی کیا جائے گا
